Does Money Bring Happiness?

I think money is necessary, but we shouldn’t care too much about it. In Chinese culture, people like to be money-minded. Sometimes, parents encourage kids to be frugal. However, I disagree with that. There is no point of earning and hoarding money if you don’t spend it.

I do think to some extent, money does buy happiness. Firstly, you can enjoy buying and doing luxurious things. For example, buying yachts, mansions, private jets, and much more. Next, money can buy comfort, and you don’t need to worry about basic needs. Lastly, money can provide generational wealth. This means that your next generation can inherit money.

Researcher show how some wealthy countries are still very unhappy, just like Hong Kong. People in Hong Kong face a lot of stress. Adults have long working hours. Students in Hong Kong experience academic pressure because they have too much homeworks and everyone really wants to get good grades. Not to mention, Hong Kong is very crowded too. the apartments are small, and super expensive. Some people are very rich, but they don’t have life satisfactions.
